Our May 18th workday in the Native Gardens included planting an 8 ft. tall Black Gum tree and some native shrubs and perennials. This tree planting also served as a community educational Earth Day ceremony and a memorial event for Peter Kublickis.
We had a fun group of our garden volunteers helping with the plantings and many of Peter’s friends and family members were onsite for the memorial reflections about Peter. The weather was great and many attending commented that they enjoyed this multi-purpose garden event.
