On May 31st the Rotary Peace Pole was unveiled in our newly
renovated Butterfly Garden. About 35 community participants celebrated with Rotary and MNGI officials leading the informal ceremonies. This is the 3rd peace pole installed in Madison County this year through coordination efforts of the Rotary Club of Madison County (i.e., one in Mars Hill, another in Hot Springs, and now the last one in Marshall). This peace pole celebration was part of a fun community event that included pollinator presentations, tours of the Native Gardens, and refreshements. And, it was a great opportunity to spend some time in the Butterfly Garden on a sunny day!
